Welcome back team PR@ctical. It’s a holiday week, so I know it’s more difficult to pitch and place stories. Wishing you much love, joy and, hopefully, peace during this time.
🔗 Want more engagement on Linkedin?
Here two tried and true ways to increase engagement on Linkedin. Practical and tactical, just like I like it.
Utilize the “like” selections as visual responses to a question (i.e. like a poll). Here is one I created using Canva this week (just reply for the template):
“Link in comments.” You’ve likely seen people use this tactic and it’s because it creates more engagement and keeps people on your content longer.
BONUS: Create meaningful lists and tag others! Seemingly “simple” thing to do when you want to increase your authority on the site.
🎙 Audio in 2021
It’s not new and it’s definitely not rocket science, but expect audio to be big in 2021. Podcasts are already mainstream, Twitter launched Spaces and even Substack has an audio option. (Not to mention Google includes podcasts in search results.)
So, how can you use audio to grow your influence or build it in as a promotional tactic?
➡️ Of course I created an audio-only example of this section.
Here are 5 ways:
Convert your blog posts to downloadable mp3 audio formats. TIP: Play helps to narrate Medium, Pocket, WordPress, or any site’s article in more than 30 types of voices with excellent quality.
Download Voicestory to create audio-only Stores for Instagram. Here’s one I did just for you. TIP: Repurpose them in other places, like: Snapchat, TikTok and your website
Use your phone’s “Voice Memo” option to record social messages. TIP: Share natively or upload to a cloud location to create a link.
On Linkedin, reply to messages with your voice. TIP: see image below
Include a Twitter Voice moment in your actual tweet. TIP: see image below
🐦 FUN FACT: How expensive are Hashflags?
So you might not be able to get your own Hashflag, considering they can cost upwards of one million dollars 😬 .
Best,
