Build your Media Leaderboard
To get more media “attention,” immerse yourself in the media. Understanding WHO to reach out to is 🔑 . Take a page out of the Techmeme Leaderboards (see below) and develop your own list of the media who dominate your field(s).
Who is writing about topics that apply to you?
Which articles, videos or other content attract the most readers?
Where should you look to find media leaders?
Even better, stop thinking about pitching and start sharing ideas.
Here’s a quick media tech stack to help:
MuckRack (or similar)
Techmeme Leaderboards (by topic)
Set up listening terms across niche networks and communities in Syften (or similar)
Now, build your leaderboard of experts and find an opportunity to say hello.
