Google shared what worked for virtual launches in 2020
The Google Trends team shared their best practices from this past year on what attributes the most successful products used when launching online. Totally applies to what I share here. The “simple” boiled down formula includes three-parts:
Pre-launch —> save the date for big reveal <— Think: social assets, giveaways, build up moments, influencer inclusion, etc…
Launch —> countdowns and ads <— Think: Numbers-based activations, deal of the day, sneak peeks, etc…
Post-launch —> opportunity to try the product virtually <— Think: AR/VR, immersive anything, metaverse, 3D or mobile and desktop engaging content, etc…
A triple threat approach that can be the heart of your next strategy.
