Perfect your pitch, HOW TO pitch NPR's "How I Built This," new email spam checker tool
It’s another Wednesday and another round of info you can {hopefully} use right now.
Do you read recipe blog posts? They frustrate me. It’s a ton of backstory and scrolling before you get to what you actually want — the recipe. Sure it keeps the read-time longer and helps with the page rank, but it doesn’t give me what I, the reader, wants.
I never want this to be that. So, let’s get to it.
Writing pitches isn’t the most fun part of a PR person’s job, but, like most things, if you have process it makes it easier. Rather than being completely formulaic, I start with a pitch formula and then change and personalize based on who I’m reaching out to.
