10 Tips for Working with a Journalist
This was such a huge reminder that I want to share it with all of you. Check out what Martine Paris shared:
Keep it short, put huge hooks upfront
Read my articles, follow me on Twitter
Tie pitch into trending news so article gets seen by Google’s algorithm
Pitch with a hot headline that everyone wants to read with striking visuals
Never pitch a story no one wants to read
All interviews are live and on the record. Questions are not sent in advance, please know that PR has zero control over the narrative
Build your following on Twitter and LinkedIn and always have your client proudly share all the coverage you get
Send embargoed reports with data only from reputable recognizable sources with bullets of key points tied to breaking news
Coverage is never guaranteed
